At Western Gage, we focus on air and electronic dimensional air gages that, with a minimum amount of operator skill, provide fast, accurate and cost-effective measurements of parts in production shop floor environments.

Air Gage Readouts
Air Gage Readouts
Readouts for fast, accurate gages are where we excel with our microprocessor-based instruments. Versatile Micro IIi readouts have both bar graph and digital displays, incorporate RS-232 serial and USB outputs, and can handle up to four inputs. More complex gaging applications utilize Western’s model AEK II air-electric converters coupled to PC computer or Western Gage Corporation’s W-400 displays.

Gages For Internal Diameters
Air Probes or Air Spindles measure tight tolerance internal diameters (I.D.). Shallow or deep bores & blind or thru-holes can be measured in diameters ranging from .059” to over 8.260”. For most applications, practical air gaging ranges to .006” or less. Perfect for fast, easy, low-cost, non-contact & accurate ID measurements for in process or final inspection.
Air Rings
Gages For External Diameters
Air Rings measure tight tolerance outside diameters (O.D.). Available in center-type rings with jets at the center of the ring body or shoulder type rings with the jets near the edge of the ring body to measure to the ends of your work piece. Simply slide the ring over the part to measure O.D. or roundness. Available with 2-Jets for standard O.D. or 3-Jets that check for the 3-lobe out-of-round conditions prevalent in centerless ground parts.

Obtaining precise quantitative dimensional data requires the use of the air gage readout instrument and a gaging member to be mastered with setting masters or set discs. Western’s master rings, plugs and discs are fabricated from heat-treated and stabilized alloy steel blanks conforming to Gage Design standard A.N.S.I. B47.1.
